This gorgeous 8 year old dilute tortoiseshell is Mayzie.  She was adopted from a Texas animal shelter as a kitten and relocated here a few years ago with her family.  Sadly, a dog in the home started terrorizing Mayzie and she was scared and unhappy so after failing to resolve the situation, the extremely difficult decision was made to give her a chance at a home where she can be safe and free from fear.  Mayzie takes time to trust new situations, but is a happy, friendly girl.  She LOVES to sit on laps and be petted.  All interactions must be on her terms, thus she ...

Pet of the Month

This sweet wee girl with the soulful eyes is Nori.  She is with us due to the kindness of strangers, who found her wandering around their yard looking for a safe place to have her kittens.  They took her in and she had her litter in the comfort and safety of their home.  They did an excellent job socializing the kittens and when they were of age they were brought to us and found homes very quickly.  Nori is now spayed and would like her very own safe forever home.  She is so pretty with the tabby markings between her ears, and on her tail, while the rest of her is ...

Pet of the Month

This gorgeous wee girl is Ellie who was born May 7, 2012.  Ellie is declawed and very affectionate.   She will play fetch and adores being petted.  Unfortunately, her loving home changed with the addition of a baby who grew into a toddler who is now 2 years old.  Ellie does not like the activity and energy of a youngster and became more and more reclusive.  She started hiding nearly all the time and is scared of loud noises.
